“The number one reason buying a chess set for your own child is a fantastic idea is because it will have a good impact on him/her and because, upon learning how to play this game, your child will learn how to think strategically. This is going to be thinking that’s beyond school. This is going to be deeper level thinking. Your child is going to learn how to strategize which helps in real life when you have to brainstorm for solutions, for example.”

“Not only will your child learn how to be strategic with a chess set, he/she will also learn a great deal about thinking ahead. In chess it’s necessary to contemplate cause and effect. If you move a piece how is that going to affect your opponent and then how will that affect your ability to move forward for the next couple of turns? Those are the questions a chess player is always thinking about when playing chess. Isn’t that a good reason to get your child a chess set?”

We’ve got the top basketball trainer working with our kids on their skills, strength, nutrition, and technique.

Our tutoring group is working right now to find the top tutor in the area.

Who is the chess master? I’d love to bring him or her into the Progeny family.

How about speed chess? Think fast.

I can see heated and fun arguments about risk in the stock market, randomness, and ability to predict how a game will come out. Maybe this is a next step after our human calculator project.

We had an interesting idea at the tutoring meeting last night.

We think all Progeny kids should be able to do complex math in their heads. This is a very teachable system that is targeted at kids. Take a look at the video below.

We will find a way to get this done.

How will we graduate 10 kids every year with academic and athletic scholarships?

By thinking big.

I think anybody can talk big about being a great ballplayer. With enough time and energy you could be a one sided gym rat with all the skills and athletic tools to be successful at basketball. I think that’s pretty common. You can find those kids everywhere you look. From years of experience I can tell you that mentality leads to a bad place.

We’re thinking much bigger than that. How about being successful in life. We’re interested in class and strength of character. We’re interested in living generous lives that are centered on Christian principles.

To review our vision. Just click HERE.

We’re in the planning stage for our new facility. While the gym and weightroom will be second to none the heart and soul will be the academics. The future will look something like this.

Take some time to think about our amazing kids and the potential that they have. What will they look like as a group on graduation day?
